Cardiopulmonary disease is term used medically to refer to diseases that attacks both the lungs and the heart. In lay man’s language, we can say it is a heart and lung disease or simply a heart-lung-disorder. If not treated, it can be fatal. Treatment should not be done by a general doctor. Rather, a specialist, should be engaged to ensure that the patient gets the latest and most aggressive medication to deal with the kind of cardiopulmonary condition he or she might be suffering from because, the disease takes a variety of forms. This disease often occurs in patients who have a problem involving either the heart or the lungs.
